Michael Smart, known to many as Mike Smart, grew up alongside his three sisters under the watchful eyes of dedicated parents. From a young age, he displayed remarkable talent in basketball, baseball, and football, culminating in being named the MVP of his basketball team at Miami East High School in 1978.
From Student
to Lifelong Learner
Michael's pursuit of knowledge led him to Cedarville University, where he majored in English Education. He furthered his education at Wright State University, earning a Master's in English in 1988. These academic achievements laid the foundation for his successful career in education, coaching, & leadership.

Michael Smart's 31-year career as a high school English teacher left a lasting impact on many lives. His exceptional leadership & coaching skills were recognized in 2003 when he was named Basketball Coach of the Year in Ohio. His influence extended beyond the classroom, shaping the lives of young athletes on & off the court.
