From a young age, Michael was actively involved in sports, playing basketball, baseball, and football, showcasing his versatile athletic talents. His prowess on the basketball court was particularly notable, leading him to be named the MVP of his basketball team at Miami East High School in 1978.

Michael’s educational journey was as diverse as his interests. After graduating from Miami East High School in 1978, he pursued a minor in Bible at the Word of Life Bible Institute in 1979.
